Dan Crary is a pioneer of flatpicking guitar solos in a bluegrass band, right up there with founding fathers Doc Watson, Clarence White and Norman Blake in carving a role for the flatpick guitar soloist in bluegrass music. An outgrowth of informal picking sessions, the Cache Valley Drifters continue to bring a modern outlook to bluegrass and country music. Their performances are as likely to include bluegrass-ized interpretations of songs by Paul Simon, Leon Russell, and Cream as they are to feature tunes by the late country folksinger Kate Wolf or traditional hill country material.
With an instantly identifiable vocal timbre and an elastic sense of phrasing, Lisa has been called a singer's singer. Her songs are a melting pot mixture of jazz, folk, blues, pop, rock and country - her own brand of adventurous folk art.. She's released 6 albums and is working on her 7th in her native Australia.
